The Separations Preview palette allows you to see how much of each color is being used in your document. Choose "Separations" from the popup menu next to the text "View" and then choose one of the colors to see how much that color is being used. Holding the shift key will allow you to view multiple colors at the same time. When viewing individual colors, the display switches to greyscale.
