Defaults in InDesign

Defaults are easy to set in InDesign.

• Setting defaults for new documents:
1. Launch InDesign and close any InDesign documents.
2. Access the palette or window that has the setting you would like to set a default for.
3. Make the change right there on that palette or window.

• Setting defaults for new objects on an open document:
1. Open your InDesign Document.
2. Make sure nothing is selected.
3. Access the palette or window that has the setting you would like to set a default for.
4. Make the change right there on that palette or window.
