Story Editor in InDesign

Sometimes, the font, style, background effects, or something else makes body copy hard to read for proofing. For this, InDesign provides a method of viewing the contents of a text box in a plain black monotype font with a white background.

To view the contents of a text box in the Story Editor:

1. Select the arrow tool .
2. Select the text box you would like to view in the Story Editor.
3. In the menus, choose Edit -> Edit in Story Editor.
