Text Case in InDesign

Have you ever wanted to put some text in all caps? Have you ever wanted to have text in all caps and have capital letters larger than the lowercase letters?

Well, there's an option for that, so you don't actually have to type text all in uppercase.

  1. Select your text using the text tool .
  2. On the control strip at the top, locate the two buttons on the left side that toggle between character and paragraph attributes. Click on the one for character attributes.
  3. A little to the right from there, locate the six buttons that all have some variant of the letter T on them. If you leave your mouse on them, InDesign will tell you what they are. These are the six:
  4. To turn them on, click on them so that they turn dark. To turn them off, click on them so that they turn light.
  5. Done!
